Doing the prep work for Saturday session, starts Friday night for me.  Les can't make it, and John passed.
It was time to assess the current situation.  I was told the surf would be up, wind would be from the SE and
the water temp around 54....................54!  Angry

Loaded up early.  Real early, the darn sun is getting up before I wake up.
If the surf is up, that means surfers taking all the parking spots.  And we don't want that!
As I get to the spot....Lo and Behold!  Maybe a 1 footer, but it was pumping.  ( 54! Angry)

Loaded up, dragged my kayak over rocks, sand and plants.  And as Murphy Law states,
the surf grew to about 1.5-2 footers and pumping.  Still not bad, the wait time for the window took about 10 minutes.
( 54!  Angry)

Launched no problem.  First thing I did was to look for bait.   I had no problem getting Greenbacks.  There was plenty to go around.  In fact it was too much bait.  Really.  Too much bait! ( 54!  Angry) My fish finder would be showing these bait balls
the entire time I was on the water.  Even the boater I talked to said there was bait everywhere.

The water clarity was much better than the poo water in Leo last week.  Wind was mellow at first, but that would change.  Maybe the poo in Leo brought all the bait in.  Who knows?

Dropped the bait and fished plastics.  Hit the marked spots on my GPS and managed bass.
I had these other biters who only wanted the tail of the plastic, I couldn't set the hook on them.

Well, the wind picked up.  It  must have been blowing close to 10 knots from the north.
Forget about the drift chute, it was too much wind.  The day ended short for me because of it.
And because the fishing action was slow.  I was off the water by 10.

I heard about the record bass dying today.

I guess there is a book about it.  So, I figured.  For 1 cent. I'll buy it.
