Sorry, about that.  Embarrassed

Look Vinnie, it is a non-blem Cobra Marauder. and it floats  Grin

Went looking for T's.  Within the first 10 minutes on the water.  MJ hooks-up.  Smiley
Why can't that happen to me?  Sad

Yeah, that's right!  Rub it in.

3 hours later, we met to young lads who are anxious to see the fish.
At this point MJ is very very tired pulling on this fish.

Here he comes!

Awwwww!  Bummmmer!

At least we can break even by getting the rapala back.
Which the two lads were happy to help.

MJ never lost his rapala.

The End

Doh!!!
Foul hooked monster did everything it could to impersonate a T, from get foul hooked on the tip of the wing, to a really short run, then up and down dog fight with drag buttoned down and going nowhere.....only it never drowned like a T would've.
Pic does it no justice, the biggest batty any of us has ever seen, and I've landed several in the hundred pound range....in MUCH less time. Embarrassed

It is strange to me how a foul hooked fish fights SO DRAMITICALLY different than a mouth hooked fish.  I guess it is the angles, and all that.  I've foul hooked macs that I thought were big bass... Embarrassed Cheesy Cheesy

Wow, 3 hours for a bat ray!?

When you finally brought him up, did he at least say, "psych!"?
