Everyday, http://www.cigarsinternational.com have what they call the CI's Daily Deal, Joe Cigar + FREE shipping on cigars.
Linky -> http://www.cigarsinternational.com/html/spec_jc.asp?globalt=1

A different item for sale every 24 hours.  Most of the time, the cigars for sale are unknown brand horse manure.  Huh
But about once a month a treat gets up on the Joe Daily Deal.  For example, today, Fri June 06, JDN Antano for $2.40 a stick. WOW!  Roll Eyes
Not only that, they give you FREE shipping.  No place on the internet can come close to the deals you will find there. (Except for maybe, the "Devil's site"....CBid, but that is an auction place like eBay and you need to put time and experience to work).

As of late, I have been collecting my cigars and storing them in a Cooler-ador.  Linky-> http://www.cigarpass.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13217.  Cheap and effective.

The last thing you want to do is drop a costly premium stick on the water, and yet, you do not want to smoke a cheapo yard-gar either.
JND are good strong sticks for the middle of the road, and for that price, you can not lose.  Make sure you have one a full stomach.

I really enjoy smoking cigars while I fish.  Sometimes its worth it to have a good quality cigar.  But most times when fishing, my mind and senses are are partially tuned in to the cigar, so a lower cost, quality handmade long-filler smoke often makes better sense.

There are mainly 2 places I like to order cigars from.  Cigars International (as mentioned in the first post) has really good prices on many of their products.  Another equally good vendor is JR Cigars (jrcigars.com).

Both of those companies have good prices, good sales, good quick service.  Check out both and see who currently has the best price on what you want.

Make sure to put your stogies in a ziploc bag, so you don't get bummed when you get on the water and find your precious treats have gotten soaked!  Don't ask me how I know...

A friend of mine buys cigars from jrcigars.com, but I can find a better deal else where.
Another good site is http://www.famous-smoke.com/cigars/cigarmonster/index.cfm

As for keeping the cigars safe, nothing beats the Travel Humidor http://cigarswag.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=1&zenid=c2ec6ae54cdcf1b1b2eba26847c60458
Cigars will not get crushed in this floating waterproof container.  It has plenty of space to carry 2 sticks, a poker, lighter, and a cutter.

Smoke what you like.  Do not smoke what you do not like.

I've been trying to stay out of this cigar talk and thought I'd wait awhile before announcing the Black Pearl Summer Smoker to Catalina next season.

For balance, we have a few sober trips running too.

Speaking of balance, I can't think of a "fuller" hour of smoke than that Punch.  Cuban Upmann, Cohiba....forget `em.  Make that little coronition a Punch Double Corona and I'll be tripping.  There isn't a stronger Cuban.  I got a little light headed and full in the middle just seeing the tubes.

My favorite smoke OTW would have to be a Bolivar Belicosa Fina, not quite a torpedo, harder to roll than a corona.  I worked the tobacco counter in L.A. and rode that whole cigar wave a vocation prior to this vocation.  I was trained by Chester Beers, who had been trained a s a classical tobaconist at Grant Brothers in San Francisco.  Over a hundred years old, Grants was one of the last of their era.  Chester was a Vietnam war veteran who stole me out from the drugstore counter in Klammath Falls Oregon to work with him  in `82, A yoeman and a good person who lived with agent orange during his service.  It killed him long ago.  Chester taught me a trade that served my single lifestyle a little too well and in a weird way, led to kayak fishing.  Among my first writing credits was as a reviewer for Smoke magazine.  Dangerous stuff with dozens of cigars to smoke.
I like a lot of cigars but in 10 years I burned more, and more Cubans, than most people who can afford it do in 40 years.  I know Avo and Nording and the guy who Makes CAO Meerschaum (cigars) and all I really want to smoke now is anything Cuban.  Or a Mexicam Te Amo or a fat Dominican Upmann.  Of all the "exports" I was a big fan of Honduran cigars.  Some great bundles there too.

For what it's all worth, the results of the cigar review in Smoke magazine.  One cigar stood out.  I asked for the maker and a hundred more samples.  It turned out to be a piece of crap with filler, binder and wrapper from 6 different countries.  I knew it was short filler by cutting one open but the editor said this was really "the kitchen sink of cigars".  I recall the country of manufacture was not really known for cigars.  Somewhere in cENTRAL aMERICA.  I'm told other reviewers raved as I did.  I don't think it was ever distributed.
