Kotzebue AK

I have been teaching in Shungnak, and will be moving to Kotzebue in August. I am new to kayaking, but would like to get one outfitted for fishing. Any tips on necessary gear (wet suits, etc.) for the waters would be great. Any info on fishing AK waters in a yak, especially in the Northwest Arctic area would be very helpful.
Thank you!

Sit-ins are a definite consideration. The Loon, Columbia and a few other models are proven fishy. How you dress will determine the season and help your fishability. I'd go for the full drysuit.

Thank you for the response.
I am 5'9, about 180. I did a lot of research last year for my home near the SC coast, and was close to getting a sit-on-top. My main concern now has to do with weather and water temp in the arctic region. I think a dry suit sounds like a sensible idea, but definitely another cost factor. I'm really curious about other's experiences in cold water.
Thanks!
