As some of you are aware, Dennis does a local radio show weekly in Occidental CA local radio AM station.  Of course most of us cant reach that signal and I was wondering what your progress was on getting this broadcast on the web and as a possible downloaded webcast that the shows could be listened to on an archived basis from accessed from the website.

I am sure there are a few of us on the board who are technically inclined and could help make this happen.  What do you think Den?

KOWS 107.3 LP (FM) Sundays from 8-9am

KOWS is a community radio station.  The "LP" stands for low power.  We reach from Santa Rosa and west to some coastal spots...on a good day.

The station is working on a bandwidth donation to increase our online listener capacity above the 20 listeners we can support now before crashing the system.  When that happens (they say it will), I'll add a second hour, from 7-8am, for a show dedicated to kayak fishing.  I'll post the link once KOWS widens the barn for more online listeners.
Thanks for asking Falcon.  Anybody comes north, please stop by and be a guest on the show.

Great suggestion, I knew the technology was out there to support this. Although, I dont know if there are any legalities involved on Spikes end on recording the blog show/podcast at the same time/location as the radio station.  Would look forward to hearing it though.

Thanks a lot Hof, I really appreciate the heads up and I'll check it out.

Falcon, I don't see any conflict except fit since the local show (Fishing the Wine Country) is too local for a blogtalkradio paralell.  Besides, It's about fishing West Sonoma and North SF Bay, not us and the kayaks.  Naturally, we do cover kayak fishing.  KOWS programing and FCC license is non-commercial and ad free.  Once the radio station gets sufficient bandwidth, I'll take Fishing the Wine Country to the national online audience with a like format.
