Well--- been working like a dog for last several months and I hadn't been out in 3 months!
Well, now between jobs (got a new one to get away from the one sucking the life out of me-- oops did I type that out loud
took a week off to spend some time and get reaquainted with the family!
So-- up comes monday-- and my wife asks my 6 yo daughter what she wants to do-- go to disneyland or go fishing with dad. To my surprise-- she chose fishing! (THAT's MY GIRL!!
) So monday AM-- Amber and I go out fishing to our normal spot (it has been almost a year since I took her)...and we did the usual trip-- paddling around the harbor trolling rapalas in hunt for barries. Slower day for us than other times, but we managed 2 barries and 1 halibut (all short and released to fight another day) in about 3.5hrs of paddling. My daughter fought one of the barries like a pro! I'm so proud of her!
We saw 2 seal lions, pelicans, seagulls, and other birds/wildlife and had a wonderful time together in perfect weather!
I love CA and I am glad to be back OTW!
