Thursday 8:56am
EFish just called in to report he took an estimated 40-50# WSB soaking a fresh dead squid.  He got broke off a few times before landing one.  On Spectra.  Bad connections Primo.  Fish the kelp and fish the canyon.  First timers should take a look at a map of the area and pay attention to what the schooled anglers are doing.

Those seabass will eat finfish too. 

There's plenty of room out there for the kayaks.  La Jolla turns into a zoo though when the boats show up.  Like a Mad Magazine centerfold.

Whata Fish  Shocked  Congratulations!

What conditions are required for them to move North? Like Malibu, Pt Dume, or Leo. How long do they hang around once they start the bite and what is the legal length.

That looks like something I'd really enjoy putting some time into. But it sounds like they take a fair amount of knowledge to land.

They are out there now.  But the water is still a little cold looking for the 60+ temps and if the squid show up the you never know whats going to happen.  You just need to put in some time and find them.  My last keeper was adleast 3 years ago.  So I think I was due.
