On February 4, a citizen at Lookout Park in Summerland saw a body floating in the water, and called the authorities. They were eventually able to recover the body in Shark’s Cove. The physical decomposition did not allow immediate identification, but the coroner was able to identify the body through fingerprints.

No life jacket.  He'd been in the water since th 27th of January. This was the third body, second kayak to show up at Summerland  in two years.  The ocean is a beautiful, but cruel mistress.  They picked a day with ppor weather to go out without lifejackets.  The survivor is lucky to be alive.
