Too nice to pass up...

Just stopped off at Wylie's for a new license and some frozen squid and I'm ready to rip! The conditions are glassy and no surf. Weather there are any fish that want to be caught is another question, but I intend to at least try. Anybody had any luck anywhere? North, south, east, west?
Anybody try the Big Rock/Topanga area lately? There's a small kelp bed at Tuna Canyon that winks at me when I drive by, maybe there some fishies that want to play there. If no wind in the morning, Wednesday, I might try Deercreek down to Deephole/County Line. call me if you want to team up tomarrow or some other day this week-310 9242193

It was 90 degrees in avila beach (Port San Luis) flat as a pancake. I went to Santa Barbara and the islands were so clear. I just wish I could fish. Oh and as for the clear islands It looked like an easy paddle . Maybe tomorrow I didn't bring the Shark Guard.

Slow fishing but 80 in Jan . Wind was on and off but when it came up it did not last for long. Fished the inside and outside edge of the kelp for nothing. ( but a nice tan ). Lots of bait all over the place. Nothing wanted to play. Some divers said when they were heading out someone on a yak was coming in with a big halibut real big. But I never saw it, lets hope they post a picture.
Good luck friday, I might be back out. Still on the hunt, thinking Leo south side..
Peace Out

Let me know where you'll end up. I started to think that maybe the mild offshore from esco would allow me to make some bait early and basically drift all the way to BKR. I wouldn't mind trying south of leo either. Let me know what your plans are.
