Before I talk about taking the train to go kayak fishing, lets give a nice big warm welcome to Les.
Who has made it back from injured reserve.
It is good to see Les back in action.
Here he is getting ready to launch. With cob-webs and all.
With so much time that has elapsed between launches.
He seems to be a little slow at getting the right pieces together.
He goofed on his paddle. It is pointing at the wrong direction.
Not to mention, the biggest wave of the day is building.
Uh-oh!
To be continued......

You know how we are all talking about taking a boat out fishing?
Well, how about taking the train?
Choo-Choo chaga chaga Choo-Choo.
Yep! That is right we took the train to the beach today.
The train does not have a normal stopping point to where we wanted to go,
so we instead pulled the emergency brake lever. And that seemed to do the trick.
Don't worry about pissing anyone off. This is Amtrack.
No one was on the train as far as I could tell.
Very fun. If you ever get a chance, go do it.
While on the train I had the Graycliff Double Espresso. Very Yummy.
Here are some pics of the fish I caught. All catch and release.
I think that last one is a herring. Not sure.
The day was pretty slow. Wind gave us a good drift, but the fish were not cooperating.
As for Les.
He made it out okay. Landing piece of cake. Getting back on the train was a pain.
I had to put my kayak on the tracks to get them to stop so I could get on.
Nevertheless. Fun day.

I received a heads up from another BOTL on the group buy.
Yes, some of them are messed up. I froze what I had in my humi.
These are one of my favorites NC cigars and are still good to smoke even with the damage.
What is up with Graycliff? From 2 different shipments on 2 different labels placed in 2 different spots in my humidor, and they both get beetles. Live and learn. Only later was I told to keep Graycliffs in a separate humi. I wish I took pics of the 2 larvae in the foot of the cigar.

Wow, gotta give Les the bravado medal for launching with all his stuff like that.
Dam the torpedos! Full speed ahead!
Too bad the fish are not cooperating. Seems like we did a lot better this time last year.
Nice story, Pete.
