Anyone fishing?

Gonna shoot for Sunday if I can brave the early morning frost and bundle up to keep warm.  40 degree temps early warm up to 60 after 10am...but light winds all day.

I may try to join you but cant get out until after 12, considering the frost all week in the am that may not be a bad thing.

I am thinking about CL tomorrow.  There were 2 kayakers out this morning with very light North winds.
Launch is a piece of cake, no one was soaked.

It is 10 right now and the temp feels pretty good right now.

Send me a PM if you want to Hook up

Nice going Yakrider!  Thanks for the pic....that used to be me in the winter!

This year has been a tough one with a new baby in the house and work kicking into some insane hyperdrive, I have lost quite a bit of fishing time.  No fishies in the freezer, I have almost forgotten what bass and rockfish taste like!  Much less a HALI!   Sad

2009-- my first new year's resolution is to get back to fishing at least 1X a week!  (not 1x month!)

I'll see you out there!

Nice stringer.  I fished Sat evening until sundown....and Sunday from about 10:30 - 3pm.  Saturday was nice right up till dark.  I fished the plastics on Saturday and didnt do much, I got a couple of rockfish on squid/dropper loop.

Made it out Sunday and fished Deep Hole with one private boater doing drifts with me.  Very cool of the PB'ers to set me up with a full bucket of sardines, because all I could manage to hook were big smelts.  But there was bait everywhere and I pulled up 4 short lings in a few hours of fishing.  Another lonely winter day but I love fishing County when there is no swell and no surfers or anyone on the beach.  I came in Saturday evening to one other guy on the whole beach, and Sunday just a couple of surfers and one paddleboarder.   Just like old times at the Malibu Bay Club.
