Hey Jeff,
Glad you can make it. I saw some party boats working North Leo/County line area. I was thinking about launching at Leo (north lot) and working my way up. Tide is real low at 6:30am and + 5 around noon or so. Let me know

I will most likely launch at County line, and head to Harrisons. I will have the VHF on CH 71, and will be shooting for sunrise launch.
Pierpont was on one of those Cattle boats you saw yesterday and said that on his boat someone else nailed a 30 lb. Ling, in the deeper reef area off county line. That is a big ling for around here! See you on the water. TL Rhino

How'd you guys do? Anything to write home about? I haven't checked the board for a long time with the move back from Oahu but I am back now.
We are 80% unpacked, so I got to drag the yak out yesterday for the first time. Water was cooooooold.... 62 degrees in North County. Hadn't worn a wetsuit in a while...
Hopefully you guys nailed 'em.

Mr Trout..
Haven't heard from you in a while. We launched at County line around 7:00 am and worked the shallow reefs for a steady pick on Calicos and a variety of rockfish. Headed a little south where I noticed a school of very large barracuda swimming a few feet under my boat. Tossed out the big croc and hooked into a large fish that spooled me then broke off. Couldn't find the school again. Hooked into a football sized bonito on the troll. Nothing big to speak of. Amazed that those large barries were in that close to shore. We drifted some live bait for a few more sandies then called it a day. Weather was beautiful. Always a pleasure fishing with Rhino.

Like Big Boy said nothing big, but good action and good weather, till the wind
kicked up around noon.
Welcome back to the Mainland, Trout and family. Yes much cooler than the island
