Hobie Sport Reviews?

I'll be buying the Sport soon. I tried it out yesterday at the ACK Demo Days (Austin,TX). Mostly to see if it would hold my weight well. It did. I tried the Outback also and still liked the Sport better. I'll be taking it out in Town Lake next weekend for more of a test drive.

I'm asking members if they know of any reviews that are negative concerning the Sport?
I figure some issues may have been addressed like the seat inserts cracking. Thanks in advace for any reports, personal or public.

Hobie sports are fine boats, I own 2 outbacks and 2 sports for my kids, adults can use the sports per where the seat " Plugs " into,.. I guess you have already checked this out after looking at your post,..

the sport is a bit easier to store, turns sharper, lighter ect ect.. can't really think of anything bad to say about these boats. I am very tough on my Outbacks and never had a problem. I always clean everything after a outing and spraw wd40 on the chain..

You might also want to wait a bit and look at the 09, a few different changes coming up, on the other hand, your probably getting a good deal on a nice boat right now,

the 09 will not be discounted at all...

I also heard about a " Angler " version of the Outback that sounds really exciting...

What's your height and weight At1?  Danglin, what's the angler weight range for the Sport?

I'm 5'11'', 200lbds ( and that's my story )

 I've seen a few guys use these as there primary yak, things I like about it is it's smaller, manuvers tighter, but, It's slower than a Outback, That and more room for Gear makes me feel that a Outback is a better yak for a Full sized adult.

If your not going to use it every week and it's more of a every now and then thing, the Sport would be fine, But, if your going to be like me and change entire your life stlye to where all that matters anymore is when you are going to get back out on your Yak to Fish...
