We're kind of spoiled in California.  Usually if you have time you can get out and fish.  Between my work schedule getting jerked around multiple times, and the weather from the tropical storms and hurricanes, I haven't been able to get out fishing in Florida for weeks.  I did get up to the Outer Banks (North Carolina) last weekend to visit my parents.  Took my dad out for a morning with a fly fishing guide and got lucky, landing the first two false albacore of the season up there.

Spike: I still hope to be able to do a Black Pearl trip, but I will have to always be a last minute addition.  Keep me in mind for cancellations.  My work in California/work in Florida days keep getting changed.

Congrats on the Falsies with your Pop!  I've always had a notion they'de eat well as long as you don't cook them.  Some of the different bonitos I've sashimi'd are awesome.

No worrys on the Pearl trips, they'll run all year long with dates posted at www.kaakfishing.com/trips.html  Booking is through the landing so touch base and we'll hook up when I'm onboard.

I remember many winters where we just couldn't get out in Malibu for months.  I expect more of that off Sonoma.  In Florida, calm storm seasons are annual and that's almost guaranteed.  Last time I was in Ft Meyers was some of the heaviest rain I've seen...ever.  Just a summer storm.
Thanks for the report.
