I fished with Falcon on Sunday at Pt. Dume.  It was an amazing vermillion rock fish day for us both!  We had hopes of yellow taill  with the warm water but settled for some good, clean, old fashioned rock codding!  Falcon's JP fish looked like it weighed nearly 6lbs.  It was the second largest red I have seen there and the picture does not do it justice.
There was a party boat from Malibu fishing there too.  The weather was perfect but the wind came up a little early from the NW.
It was great fishing with you Falcon!  T/L to all as well.

Blessed is he who sheperds the weak in the valley of darkness, for he is trully his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children. I will strike down upon thee with great vengence and furious anger on those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers....

definately a great day on the reds...best i have had at pt dume so the fishery looks healthy.

the wind came up early and there was strong current so the day consisted of alot of paddling back against the flow to try to stay on the spot.  the extra work prevented a limit but it was well worth it.

Dume is a fantastic launch as long as the swell is down...and it was down pretty small Sunday...about as small as it gets there.  Bob and I had reminders of the ranch the launch was pretty easy.   And the views on the sand werent so bad either.

oh yea we saw a halibut come out of the surf at launch, and fresh frozen squid bought Sat in Hueneme did the trick!
