Launched 6:30 with JScott, I had no problem making enough bait for both of us. HA,HA.   One short red caught deep and released healthy,  one calico 3-4lbs, fun fight .  Two short halibut about 6in. caught in about 65ft.  Then just after the high tide picked up another halibut about 24-26in. 40ft deep. Already have the house stocked with fish so this one got the royal net treatment unhooked then sent back for another day.  Jason was the san dab hunter today, must have caught 8-12 of those things.  Wish I knew where the lings hide those would have been perfect bait.
Peace Out

too funny!  I managed 7 smelts to eric's 30 or so!  New sabiki did the trick....I swear when they are new they get the finicky baits!  Other than the sandabs...big skunkola for me. Cry  But nice to get out....we did a lot of paddling....fished deep out to 175' and fished shallow to 10' and everything in between.  Did not have a live bait touched all day.  Fished squid strips....and just sanddabs and then some macs bothering it.  Bummer....has not been a good summer for me fishing wise.  (I seem to be the exception, not the rule!)  Eric is 4 for 4 on outings-- YT, Hali, 2Hali, Hali....he must have got all my MOJO!   Cheesy  Oh well.... we'll see who rules the day when the lobster season starts!   Grin
