Camped up in the Bishop Creek area and fished North Lake on Saturday. My Dad, Son, & I (3 generations) fish from float tubes and each got a minimun of 7 per session, per man. My dad uses very slow trolled baby crawlers with no weight, I was using smaller wooly buggers, and nymphs on my new 3 weight Sage rod (really nice). and Grant fishes with either flies, or worms whatever they are taking.

Walked into some lakes above North Lake the second day and did well with black ants, and nymphs from shore for a bunch of Brook Trout. Each got at least 5.

No yaks, but we have tubing longer than yaking and in the smaller lakes of the sierra the tube is the right tool for the job.

Great report Jeff.  Thanks for posting it. The Eastern Sierra will just keep getting better.
Tell Grant I need a few movie stars for the next Kayak Fishing DVD...if he's into pulling on something heavier and I'm not ruling out trout.
