Back on the Boat

As unbelievable as it is to me. I got back on the kayak last week, and then again yesterday after a 2+ year break in the action. No good reason as I really love it. Last week dragged some frozen sardines around Escondito for bottom action (guitar fish and sharks mainly). Junky fish, but still fun to see that bend in the rod.
Yesterday I went to King Harbor with my 11 year old son hoping for some Bonito. I guess they have not been around most of the summer there and a few have been caught recently. We caught a few, plus a small Sand Bass and some Sand Dabs. I saw a few smallish Butts on other kayaks.
Pretty clean water, slight breeze, smallish waves, relaxing. Great to be out with my son.
