The 10,000 Islands Marker 8 Classic was won by Bob Bramblet on April 9th. Congratulations to Bob and the rest of the anglers that joined us in Goodland, Florida.
It was very hot and the water was muddy from a southern breeze. Maker 8 Restaurant had live music and roast hog for the awards ceremony where $8,000.00 in sponosr gear prizes were awarded to the top 5 winners. All of the contestants received some nice gear and the ClassicS introduced the new ProAxis fly rod by
Hardy & Greys to the series.
Tarpon were everywhere and one angler got a nice Florida Sleigh Ride behind a 100 pound poon. See all of the updates on the Kayak Fishing ClassicS website and we hope to see you on May 14th in Ozello, Florida for our next tournament. Ozello is a northern version of the 10,000 Islands and supports a great redfsih population. All of the collected data from the Marker 8 Classic is shared with marine conservation organizations.
See you in May and here's our link.
