Good summary in the article.

Is anyone really shocked that privately funding the public process of enacting laws seems to lead to a lack of transparency as well as flat out corruption?  Wait a minute, isn't that WHY the process of creating laws is public?

Thank you for posting this. I knew private money was the driving force, but not to this extent. What a sham!

Extreme environmental and special interest groups both have a good read on how to get over on the angler lobby, it ain't too hard.
Their indignation to think they could justify bending the rule of the law to achieve their goals is as Nixonlike as the man himself.

I thank G-d and mother nature for Bob Fletcher and everyone who has participated in preserving fishing and MLPA.  I've been squeezing readers for years and NOW is the time to give it up for United Anglers.  They need the bucks now to finance this cause.

Sportfishing is a traditional American pastime and a wholesome family activity.  From individual outdoor recreation to family outings, fishing is part of the fabric of California and should remain that way.
