Trolled for threshers in an attempt to wow the visiting AZ relatives and one was kind enough to put on a show. The perfect-harvest size fish jumped four times and the beach party watched the kayak pirouette. Had the fish tired and leader in my hand but the 25lb main line parted at the swivel while I was trying to maneuver Mr. T in for a tail grab and a dinner invitation If they're up here, they're probably available all point south and east. Get out on the water - still better than any videogame.

Congrats on your almost! I was planning to troll the Arco area Sat. afternoon weather permitting of course...do you troll bait or rapala type lures? I recently picked up a new rapala magnum deep diver supposedly reaches 20 ft. depths...its a bonita pattern so I was going to give that a shot along with a LC metallic sardine, have had very good luck with the LC on the cuda's.Any advice? Anyone interested in going, company welcome.....

Shoulda turned around when i came over the bridge at Emmawood....Just had that morning bump that is not to appealing for long distance trolling...what the hey I'm up and ready I'll at least go up to Arco and see if its any better...no not much better but someone was already out and two more guys pulled up so I decided to make a go of it..small but high freuency west windswell with a slight breeze/chop from the south, water was offcolor on the inside, breeze picked up just past the island but I was here so I dug in headed for Santa Barbara, just to much bump to maintain a good troll speed but I went uphill for two hours for nothing same nothing on the way back......

At least you gave it a try. Sometimes you just gotta pay dues and put in the hours on the water. Sooner or later you hit it just right and have an epic trip.

Ow!. My arms and calves still hurt. I have welts on my abdomen from the rod butt. My back hurts. My shoulders hurt. I lost a $14 Rapala CD 14 lure. I stepped on something dragging my kayak out and cut my foot. Hope to do it again next weekend. Current score; Mr T: 5 Wolfman: 2
Sure beats television!
