NCKA.org is the Nor Cal Regional site and a good one.  Promoting a few events a year, Albion should be their premier event with 2 days of fishing plus a day or more of ab diving for those so inclined.  There will be a bodacious raffle with 100% of the proceeds going to fishery lobbying for anglers...causes, specifically the last stand for MLPA implementation, the North region.  I fully endorse this event and encourage the heartiest of souls to pack up the kids, tents and motorhomes to come fish with me and Nick (and hopefully Trout, Joey, JJ, Toad Patrol, Vinnie, Leo, Fishman, A-BOB......Faaaalcon......).  I think the girlfriends/spouses are competing too.

No event page is published yet, that should come soon.  Contact me directly for links and check out www.NCKA.org on their Tournaments and Events Forum.  It's a great time in the redwoods and wine country and very, very fishy, about 2.5 hours above SFran.

Got a date yet?  We are looking forward to another trip up there soon, this time with the little one in tow.

The tourney is Saturday July 31st.  Most people fish Friday, I hear others are pre-fishing for days.  Lucky vacationers I bet.  Sunday August 1st is the re-opener of abalone season following the July hiatus.   Michelle works Saturday and will follow so I'm thinking Friday through maybe Tuesday.  KayakJack keeps an awesome galley pitched, a handful of fishy "chefs", and I've made some good friends there.
I'll get you hooked up with the NCKA page links as it comes down the line.
