Now there will be a 5.00 stamp you can buy to help the game wardens. Must be due to budget fall out. The guys on fishreports.net are all up set if you want to read their input. go to this link.

got a headache trying to read that website...needs a redesign badly.

Didnt see anything on the DFG site about Warden donations...are they interpreting the 4.75 ocean enhancement stamp as a Warden Donation?  Who knows...hasnt there always been an enhancement stamp?

I copied and pasted this from article about not having to wear license any longer

In a somewhat related matter, hard-working game wardens should get a boost from revenues collected via a new, voluntary (see how the commission has already changed their approach...) "Warden's Stamp." Sold next to hunting and fishing licenses, the stamps should provide some well needed family benefits for wardens that the state can no longer afford.

While other state law enforcement agencies get top pay and bennies, game wardens typically receive far less in wages while doing a job often fraught with danger. Parity for them with the other agencies is not in the cards and many experienced wardens are leaving the DFG in droves to pursue other avenues of employment. No one can blame them.

I would purchase a warden stamp.
I also think we should be able to buy a "fish the mlpa zone" stamp on your birthday too. Grin

I haven't been able to investigate this through but...
Isn't there a giant conflict created in the field when the warden sees a license that DOESN'T have the "attaboy" stamp?  That guys getting cited for something.  I percieve this stamp like a $50 bill tucked into the license.  Not a good idea.  Just raise the price of the license or instead, find a better way to support the wardens.

i agree with spike.  its funny because ive been in a similar situation with my car.  i have a murdered out black bmw M5 with full exhaust that i used to get pulled over in all the time.  after i made a donation to the lappl (lapd union) and got my special lappl plate holder and id holder (they give you a friggin badge!)  i literally stopped getting pulled over and or sometimes the cop would follow me until they got a look at my plate and let me go.  i think that the wardens stamp will be the same way.  i dont want the "you have to pay to play" attitude to get into my fishing license too.
