Well, the fat lady may be on the stage stairs but she hasn't sung yet.
Our next recourse: email the bejesus out of the Fish and Game Comission to stick to the Workgroup 2 proposal.

Title it: Comment on MLPA South Coast Process.
Let the 5 member panel know that Pt. Dume is an inferior area for an MPA because: it has very limited access for the public and the DFG. No handicap ramps, no parking, no bathrooms. The MLPA reserves are suppose to be open for the public. The WG2 area has abundant parking and facilities., and no economic or social impact, unlike Dume, which impacts many.
The Pt. Dume MPA is virtually a private reserve for a few wealth and apparently very influencial families with estates on the bluff. Why should my taxs pay for their reserve? There's lots more reasons, PM me for more.
You know, if we were an Indian tribe and said kayakfishing at Pt. Dume was our sacred right, we'd get an exemption today. Anybody got an eagle feather and a string of beads?
But damnit, for me fishing Pt. Dume IS sacred. And I am an Native Ameican, just an Irish one. (with a little german thrown in) A Pt. Dume MPA violates my religious freedom.
