King Harbor, Sat 9/12/09

Got a late start and headed out at 8.30 or so. Conditions were great, no wind and a swell that came in 12-15 second intervalls, so no problem. Decided to head north and started just south of the Hermosa Pier. Fished plastics with strips of squid, got a few nibbles but nothing that would stick. Tried a few other stops heading south, but only had one solid bite that came unbuttoned. Where have all the sandbass gone? Used to be that I'd always pick up a few in this area. This is the 2nd time in 3 weeks that I got skunked.
Gotta get or make live bait the next trip. Headed in around noon as it started to blow pretty hard.
