I have an Australian friend visiting. He is a big time spear fisherman, freediver. He is hoping to find a boat going out of the San Diego area that will take him out to find some Dorado or Yellowtail. Anybody have a contact I can pass on to him?

The OEX stores can probably hook him up.  A call to Fisherman's Landing Tackle will direct him to a boat too.

Get a rental kayak from LJ paddle out to the point and jump in the water.  Save some money.  LJ can be like a field of dreams on the right day.  And it's a great place to paddle and check out the caves. lots of sea life in the reserve to check out.  Schools of sharks swimming in less than 15ft of water.  And the golden angles walking all over that beach. Makes me want a day trip myself.
Peace
