I don't mean to draw away from MLPA and I'm sure they'll sound the alarm next...

While it's still legal to fish the coast, closure of the State Parks will limit access to Leo Carrillo(North Beach) and eliminate access to Fort Ross, 2 of my top spots.  To save what?  Under 200 million on a 20+ billion dollar deficit?HuhHuh  I say add a buck to the next 200 million packs of smokes and we should have enough dough in a month to save the park system.  I imagine there is a higher population transitioning through the Parks System right now due to homelessness and that's an arguement for keeping them open.  If the Parks are shut down as proposed, there will be little enforcement and no maintenance for the closure period.  That's all the jobs.  It just seems cvlear to me that the downside to California, losing all that commerce, outweighs $24 million a month in "savings".

I havent looked at the details, but I read somewhere that most of the beach parks would be spared the cuts.  I dont know how you would close a place that is full of campers all summer long.   We are hosed one way or another....
